It’s already a few months ago that VVOB invited Reference center to participate in this ICT competition for Schools of Reference.
In order to create for one school the chance to make extra investments in ICT MINEDUC/VVOB started a competition with a price to win of € 9,000 for investments (€ 7,000 in 2012 and € 2,000 in 2013).
Added to that is a budget of € 2,000 in 2012 and € 2.000 in 2013 for training. And, last not but least, the winning school will be linked to a Flemish school to exchange knowledge and experiences on dealing with ICT in a school management context. A real connection between the two schools will be established, among others resulting in a visit from representatives of the Flemish school to the winning school in 2012 (budget available € 3,000) and vice versa in 2013 (budget available € 3,000)
The winner of this competition would be the school that wrote the best proposal for using this
€ 9,000 + € 4,000 in which they made clear how the ICT investment and training would contribute to:
1. being a successful school of reference / resource centre in your district;
2. achieving extra learning results for your students;
3. the improvement of other schools of reference in the country.
All proposals were judged on creativity, expected results and feasibility. Members of the jury gave points (1 – 10) per item. The items 2 – 6 in the assessment form, that was available, was judged. Remarks made in item 7 could deliver extra points with a maximum of 5 points. Winner should be the proposal with the largest amount of points. See below the results of this exercise of the jury. There you can read that after long deliberations the jury has come to the resolution, that the
